Views about this potential new strategy are being sought from staff, carers, volunteers, patients, service users and key stakeholders.

Contained within the Bigger Picture Strategy Correspondence is a series of questions about what works well, and what could be improved.

Social Impact Workshop

24th October 2024

9.45-12.30pm

VIN office

It is increasingly important for organisations and groups to describe the difference that their work makes to its beneficiaries or the wider community. For instance, many Funders ask about the impact you have.

Who should attend this workshop

This course is aimed at small community organisations that have no or little experience of measuring social Impact. It will not cover the area of Social Return on Investment (SROI)

If you are part of a small voluntary or community organisation and:

· have perhaps heard the term Social Impact, and would like to know more

OR

· you have researched Social Impact and decided that it all seems very complicated and maybe something only larger charities have the resources to do?

then this might be the course for you

This course will cover:

1. What is Social Impact and why measure it

2. What is a Theory of Change and give attendees a chance to have a go at developing a very simple one for their group.

3. Ways to evidence the difference your organisation is making

4. Exploring how Social Impact can be communicated with some simple visual examples and resources to help you

This workshop is suitable for those with an annual turnover of less than £100,000.
