Dementia Action Week 16th – 22nd May 2022

Each year, Alzheimer’s Society holds Dementia Action Week to encourage people to take action to improve the lives of people affected by dementia. With many dementia diagnosis rates at a five-year low, tens of thousands of people across the country are currently living with undiagnosed dementia. This means they don’t have access to the vital care and support that a diagnosis can bring. Getting a diagnosis can be daunting, but the society believe it’s better to know: 91% of people affected by dementia also agree. That’s why this year’s theme for Dementia Action Week is diagnosis.
