Social Impact Workshop

24th October 2024

9.45-12.30pm

VIN office

It is increasingly important for organisations and groups to describe the difference that their work makes to its beneficiaries or the wider community. For instance, many Funders ask about the impact you have.

Who should attend this workshop

This course is aimed at small community organisations that have no or little experience of measuring social Impact. It will not cover the area of Social Return on Investment (SROI)

If you are part of a small voluntary or community organisation and:

· have perhaps heard the term Social Impact, and would like to know more

OR

· you have researched Social Impact and decided that it all seems very complicated and maybe something only larger charities have the resources to do?

then this might be the course for you

This course will cover:

1. What is Social Impact and why measure it

2. What is a Theory of Change and give attendees a chance to have a go at developing a very simple one for their group.

3. Ways to evidence the difference your organisation is making

4. Exploring how Social Impact can be communicated with some simple visual examples and resources to help you

This workshop is suitable for those with an annual turnover of less than £100,000.

VIN and the Doddridge Centre partner to deliver CEO Network Meetings

VIN and the Doddridge Centre invite Voluntary Sector CEOs across West Northamptonshire to come together over coffee and biscuits on the 26th of September 2024 between 9.30am and 11am.

It’s often a lonely role being a CEO, so the opportunity to come together and discuss shared issues and opportunities is welcomed.

To book your space simply contact Sophie.negus@voluntaryimpact.org.uk

As well as the opportunity to network, Shah Alhabib of West Northamptonshire Council will be talking about the opportunities that Artificial Intelligence may offer the sector, which could be particularly relevant given our requirement to fund and fundraise.

Other than that, it’s an informal event where all principal decision makers are welcome.

The Doddridge Centre can be found at 109 St James Road, Northampton, NN5 5LD and ample free parking is available.
