Volunteer fundraisers at Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Service

NDAS are looking to recruit a team of volunteer fundraisers who would like to support them in our fundraising activities as well as holding their own fundraisers. We offer full training, regular team meetings and support to ensure you are fully confident in your role.

This is a great opportunity for someone that would like to give back to their community and make a difference to the lives of families affected by domestic abuse. They can also provide you with valuable experience for your CV and will provide you with references after 6 months volunteering with them.

Youth group volunteer at Abington Youth Group

Abington Youth Group runs two youth groups for young people in the community to come together in a safe place, have fun, and join in with a programme of fun activities.

The clubs meet every Friday; Primary School Age – 4pm – 6pm and Secondary School age 7pm – 9pm.

Aimes

  •  To provide young people with an opportunity to meet together during the week for a programme of fun activities.
  • To enable the growth and development of young people so that they are more able to take responsibility for themselves, and to recognise the needs of others.
  • To provide a point of contact for young people in the community

Duties

  • To help with the programme of activities.
    To work together with a team of other volunteers.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience of working with this age range is not essential.
  • A DBS is required and we will help with the process.
