The Research Team at Kettering General Hospital are conducting a research survey across Northamptonshire on Diabetes and Obesity.

An important part of this work is ensuring that people from all communities can share their experiences and perspectives. They are therefore seeking support from local organisations in helping them engage with members of the public and recruit participants to their Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) group. 

The PPI group will help guide and inform future diabetes and obesity research by sharing experiences, views, and priorities.

They are particularly keen to hear from:

1. Adults aged 18 and over living in Northamptonshire.
2. People living with diabetes or obesity.
3. Young adults with type 2 diabetes.
4. Carers, family members, and supporters.

What’s involved?

• Meetings every 3-6 months, either online or in person.
• Sharing experiences and perspectives to help shape future research.
• Payment for time and contributions, with reasonable travel expenses reimbursed.
